National PG College adds a Parijat tree to its list of medicinal plants in its medical garden on World Environment Day
Lucknow: At National PG College, Lucknow under the guidance of Principal Professor Devendra Kumar Singh, Government of Uttar Pradesh and Higher Education Department, under the action plan of Amrit Mahotsav on the eve of World Environment Day a tree plantation program was organized in which the sapling of Parijat Kalpavriksha was planted by the Principal of the college which was the main attraction of this program.
Describing the importance of medicinal plants, Principal Professor Devendra Kumar Singh got the medicinal garden constructed, in which other teachers, Professor Dr. PK Singh, Head of the Department of Geology, Dr. Ramkrishna Jaiswal, Head of the Department, Department of Hindi, Dr. Abhijit Chatterjee, Head of the Department, Many medicinal plants like Harsingar Sarpagandha were planted in the garden by Dr. Kavita Arora, Assistant Professor, Department of Botany.
