National PG College commits itself to cleaning Gomti

Lucknow: On the occasion of World Environment Day on 5th June 2022, Geography Department National PG College, Principal Professor Devendra Kumar Singh, Dr. PK Singh launched a five-year campaign of GOSA-2027 (Gomti Cleanliness Campaign) under the leadership of Geography Department, along with water testing Lab which was unveiled by the college’s Lok Bharati member  Chandrabhushan Tiwari,  Shyam Dixit,  Ashish Singh, Dr. Praveen Kumar Rai Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti University, Dr. Udham Economics Department, Dr. Bhanu,  Chandrashekhar Yadav etc. Honorable members were present.

Under this campaign Gomti river which enters Lucknow from Ghaila Sarora and Pipraghat extends beyond Lucknow city, a campaign of 5 years has been started to clean such Adi Ganga Gomti which will be completed in 5 phases and river will be divided into 16 sections, in each phase 500 families will be connected with the river cleaning campaign, thus in this whole campaign, a resolution has been taken to clean the river by connecting about 8000 families with this campaign because the sadhna is accomplished by determination and Life becomes clean and beautiful by spiritual practice and the water of Adi Ganga Gomti is running in the form of blood in our body.

On this occasion, a camphor plant was also planted in the medicinal garden of the college and drawing competition was organized by calling the children of the backward classes of Moti Mahal Loan and they were presented with educational material after taking a pledge to clean the environment and nature.
