For the past several weeks, speculations are being made in the politics of Bihar that Upendra Kushwaha may join the BJP. Ever since the formation of the Grand Alliance government in Bihar, Upendra Kushwaha has not got any post in the government.
According to sources, Kushwaha was expected to be made deputy chief minister this time in the expansion of Nitish Kumar’s cabinet in the coming days, but in the past, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar made it clear that there is no other Deputy CM in his government other than Tejashwi Yadav. After which Kushwaha was very disappointed.
Because during a conversation with the media, Kushwaha had indicated that if he gets any important post in the government, he will gladly accept it. Earlier, Kushwaha was not included in the cabinet when the Grand Alliance government was formed last year.
In the past few days, Upendra Kushwaha has taken an anti-Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) line and lambasted former agriculture minister Sudhakar Singh for his attack against Nitish Kumar.
In fact, when RJD leader and education minister Chandrashekhar made controversial remarks regarding the Ramcharitmanas, Kushwaha hit out at the RJD, claiming that the RJD was playing into the hands of the BJP as Lalu Prasad Yadav’s party wanted it to be published. In lieu of doing this, they should get some help from the central government in the court cases going on against the top leaders of RJD.
