Kanpur: The current Yogi government is constantly making efforts to improve health services in Uttar Pradesh. A new PGI has been started in Kanpur and many major diseases will be treated here.
Piyush Verma was the first patient in the OPD on the first day, who got tested in neurology. The health of 60 patients was examined in Neuro Surgery and Neurology.
The Principal of Medical College, Professor Sanjay Kala, SIC Prof. RK Maurya and Dr. Manish Singh inaugurated the PGI with the OPD duly at 9 in the morning, then the patients and staff applauded and celebrated the moment.
Online registration was done to show 60 new patients in OPD. Piyush was the first patient in PGI who had headache.
Piyush said, Sir, there is no such hospital in the whole city, patients do not have to queue in the crowd and the staff nurses themselves are coming and taking them to the doctor’s chamber.
On the instructions of the government, the PGI made under the Prime Minister’s Health Protection Scheme with 200 crores was started but there is neither staff nor budget here.
There is neither staff nor doctors, yet the OPD has been started with the help of half-incomplete preparations. Questions are also being raised on PGI that why this doctor is not a specialist.
Ironically, PGI does not even have its own permanent electricity connection. It has to be run on a temporary connection. The feeder might breakdown as soon as the load of the entire building is put in because the power is not even connected to the sub-station.
