Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to select new Gram Rozgar Sevaks in the Gram Panchayats where the immediate family members of newly elected village heads are posted as Gram Rozgar Sevaks. To get the benefit of the experience of the old Gram Rozgar Sevak, they can be posted in that Gram Panchayat with the consent of the nearest Gram Panchayat. Apart from this, with mutual consent, two gram panchayats can mutually transfer their village employment servants by sending a proposal to the district level officer, after obtaining the consent of the proposal.
In this regard, Additional Chief Secretary, Rural Development Department, Manoj Kumar Singh has issued instructions to all the District Magistrates and District Program Coordinators of the state.
It is noteworthy that in all the gram panchayats of the state, three-tier panchayat elections-2021 have been conducted. In some gram panchayats in the state, the families of newly elected village heads are also posted on the job of village employment servants under the MNREGA scheme, which will affect the transparency and quality of departmental works as well as have an adverse effect on the objectives of the scheme.
