Lucknow: Month-wise Quick Estimates of Index of Industrial Production for the base year 2011-12 have been prepared by the Earth and Numbers Division, State Planning Institute, Uttar Pradesh. Month-wise quick estimates have been prepared using the data provided by various factories and departments of the state as per the procedure provided by the Central Statistical Office, Government of India.
This information has been given by Vivek. He said that the quick estimates of the Index of Industrial Production for the month of March, 2021 have been prepared in the month of June 2021. The Quick Estimates of the General Index of Industrial Production (IIP) for the base year 2011-12 for March, 2021 stood at 133.11. The index of mining is 118.59, that of manufacturing is 134.08 and that of power sector is 146.31.
In respect of industries, the index of 23 industry groups (as per NIC 2008 two digit level) in the manufacturing sector is shown in statement. He said that in the use-based classification, the index of primary goods, capital goods, intermediate goods, infrastructure/construction goods, consumer durables and consumer non-durables has been shown in Statement-III. The index for March, 2021 stood at 118.32 for primary goods, 266.50 for capital goods, 148.87 for intermediate goods and 138.47 for infrastructure/construction goods. The indices for consumer durables and consumer non-durables stood at 80.81 and 134.16 respectively.
The index for February, 2021 has been presented with the first revision i.e. provisional index from the latest data received from factories along with quick estimates of Index of Industrial Production. Which is available on the department’s website, which is available on the website.
