Nitin Kumar eyes becoming the next Milkha Singh
Lucknow: The great athlete Padma Shri Milkha Singh, popularly known as Flying Sikh, may not be in this world anymore, but even today he is a source of inspiration for many athletes. Not only this, many players started running on the track after taking inspiration from Milkha Singh and have kept the dream of becoming like him. Nitin Kumar has also started running with the dream of becoming like Milkha Singh.
In Khelo India University Games Uttar Pradesh 2022, Nitin has won gold medal in 400 meters race. However, he was expected to perform better here. Actually Nitin Kumar had come on the track with the intention of breaking his best performance record of 46.80 but today he has won the gold by taking 47.3 seconds.
He further said that he wants to break this record in the coming days. His next target is to play in the Asian Games and Olympics. Earlier, Nitin had won the bronze medal in the 2019 Junior Federation Cup by completing 400 meters in 48.37 seconds.
In 2019 itself, he won the silver medal by completing the 400 meters race in 48.90 seconds in the National Competition of the School Games Federation of India. Nitin Kumar has continuously worked hard on his fitness during the lockdown and has worked hard to improve his performance. The result of this is that he is continuously winning medals.
Regarding Khelo India University Games, he said that it is a big initiative. He said that Khelo India University Games is proving to be a great platform for the youth. Nitin Kumar said that new talent is being provided a better opportunity here.
