Lucknow: With growing cases of Coronavirus, Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia recently called a meeting of the Corona Monitoring and Coordination Committee. Under her supervision, it has been decided that there will be a sanitization machine in every ward. The campaign will be organized by councillors to stop those who do not put masks on, in their wards. There are strong instructions from the mayor that the Containment Zone and other congested areas of the city be sanitized through 30 tankers. He has further underscored that in each zone, three to five tankers would be sanitized daily.
Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia has pointed out that sanitation in the Containment Zones would be done with cooperation of District Administration and Councilors on a priority basis. At the same time, arrangements will be made to supply medicines and other essential items to people in areas with barricades.
Reportedly Councilors of the monitoring committee will be informed about the patients who come positive daily, so that they will be able to monitor the containment zone. Bhatia said there will be direct coordination with health department to provide information to the Integrated Command and Control Room if any person is suspected with thorough investigations.
The local councilor will be informed if the sealing action is taken by the Municipal Corporation. Masks will also be made available to all cleaning workers.
If people appear without a mask then a campaign to warn people will be held which is being dubbed as the Toko campaign.
The Mayor said that municipal officers and employees are also frontline warriors in the fight against Corona. All officers and employees will be vaccinated. At the same time, the councilors are also working among the people, they will also be vaccinated.
