Non eligible pensioners to be removed from list of beneficiaries as per government

Lucknow: Now ineligible beneficiaries will not be able to take advantage of the National Old Age Pension Scheme of the Social Welfare Department. For this, the work of Aadhaar authentication has been started in a big way in all the districts. So that the ineligible can be excluded from the scheme and new beneficiaries can be added to the scheme.

Aadhaar authentication on a massive scale

On behalf of the Social Welfare Department, the work of Aadhaar authentication is being done on a large scale in the National Old Age Pension Scheme. The purpose of Aadhaar authentication is to prevent duplicity in the pension scheme (one beneficiary taking benefit from several pension schemes, or benefit from several districts), removing deceased and ineligible pensioners from the scheme, and identifying fake beneficiaries and separating them from the scheme.

More and more new beneficiaries added

At present 56 lakh old age people are being given the benefit of National Old Age Scheme. From January 2022, the amount given in pension has been increased from Rs 500 per month to Rs 1000 per month. Now it is the effort of the government that a large number of new eligible beneficiaries should be given the benefit of this scheme and by identifying fake and ineligible people, they should be deprived of the scheme.

Aadhar authentication can be done online

Beneficiary for Aadhaar Authentication through Public Suvidha Kendra, Cyber Cafe, Computer with personal internet or Mobile through departmental website https://sspy-up.gov. in / can login. If there is any problem in doing Aadhar authentication, then Aadhar authentication can be done by going to the District Social Welfare Officer office in the district with the details of Aadhar card, registration number, bank account number and mobile number.

Government schemes should be run with transparency

There are a total of 56 lakh old age pension scheme beneficiaries in Uttar Pradesh, out of which about 56 percent people have been able to get Aadhaar authentication. In this situation, about half of the beneficiaries have not yet been given the benefit of pension. In view of this, the social welfare department is taking the cooperation of SHREETRON INDIA LIMITED for Aadhaar authentication. So that Aadhaar authentication can be done at the door-to-door of the beneficiaries on a large scale.
