Lucknow: Keeping in mind the various events to be organized in Ayodhya city in the coming month of January 2024, Northern Railway, Ayodhya Cantt and Ayodhya Junction of Lucknow Division is working round the clock. In a major step towards renovation and modernization of railways, work is being done at a non-stop pace on many types of railway projects including new infrastructure. To take stock of the progress of all these development works, Principal Chief Operating Manager, Northern Railway, Upendra Chandra Joshi arrived in Lucknow as part of his two-day inspection program from Baroda House, Headquarters of Northern Railway, New Delhi.
On the first day of his inspection program, the Chief Operating Manager first reached the Divisional Office and went to the Control Room to get formal information about the operational functioning. After this, he participated in the review meeting organized on this occasion and gave a detailed review along with a detailed discussion with the officers on other important points including operations. In this meeting, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Shivendra Shukla and heads of other departments of the division were present. During this, the Principal Chief Operations Manager also planted trees in the new control building.
Thereafter, the Principal Chief Operating Manager, along with other officers of the division, left for Ayodhya while window trailing the Lucknow-Ayodhya railway section and on the way, he intensified the arrangements for safe and secure railway operation including the doubling work to be done on this railway section.
After this he went to Ayodhya Jn. After reaching the station, being aware of all the progressive works, he laid special emphasis on completing these works within the stipulated time limit and passed his necessary suggestions and instructions in this regard. This inspection continued till late evening. In this inspection programme, the Board’s Officers and other railway personnel were present.
