Lucknow: While there is much anxiety about whether one will again go through the rather painful times of the lockdown, the Yogi government is putting its best foot forward so that no untoward situation crops up.
As the state witnesses what seems to be the second wave, Uttar Pradesh government spokesperson and cabinet minister Sidharth Nath Singh has made it clear that the cases have definitely increased, but the situation is nowhere close to a lockdown like scenario.
He said the government is completely cautious about COVID – 19. People are being made aware.
He pointed out that on occasion of Holi, panchayat elections, people are coming in large numbers from many states including Maharashtra. The state is prepared to face that movement. Random checking is being done at all places like railway station, busstand and airport.
He said that the country is more prepared this time than the first phase. He added, “Covid-19 Hospital, L1 Hospital or L2 Hospital, Control Room, all have been activated.”
The government has been appealing to people to wear masks and maintain social distance.
As the investigation progresses, the number of patients is also increasing. During the last 24 hours, 119075 people were tested.
