Lucknow: On 8th March 2021, the Social Responsibility Committee of Jaipuria Institute of Management Lucknow hosted NukkadNatak on the occasion of Women’s day at Fun Republic Mall, Lucknow
The event was organized under the guidance of Dr. Reena Agrawal, Chairperson Social Responsibility Committee and Mr. Prayush Prakash, Student Coordinator along with the rest of the committee members.
The Chief Guest of the event was Ms. Ruchita Chaudhary (IPS), DCP, Uttar Pradesh Police.
She embraced everyone with her presence. She gave a motivating and inspirational speech when it came to address the audience.
The event started by the hostAditi Rana, Junior member, Social Responsibility Committee. Later Dr. Reena Agarwal, Chairperson Social Responsibility Committee felicitated the Chief guest with Momentum and shawl as a guest of honour.
Womens day is aday to celebrate the unstoppable spirit of womenkind, a day to remember all the great women who changed the course of society, and a day to make everyone remember the importance of women in our lives.
NukkadNatak is easier to attract a large group of audience at a single go. For celebrating womens day and spreading awareness among a huge audience about women and challenges faced by them on a regular basis. How they overcome all these challenges with an ease and make people around them proud.
It isorganized to showcase the plight of women of our society even in the present century and why should the situation change for better. The play very beautifully depicts the evolution of the universe and the meaning of Shiv & Shakti. It explains how men and women are equals and one is incomplete without the other. And for the mere existence of life, they both must be present.
The act presents the story in various parts. Firstly, it shows how a girl faces problem at home while she wants to go for her job, second scene depicts a scenario wherein the women is mentally forced to get married keeping in mind the societal norms and is not allowed to speak. Later it also shows that why, how and when did it all started where the people had a different mindset where they still don’t accept the fact that womens are equal to men’s in the society. Still they face problems in their walks of life.
The play was enacted by the students of the college wherein they played their respective characters so well, that the audience were overwhelmed with the performance. This was very much evident from the huge number of people gathered there to witness the play.
After the beautiful depiction of the story, the artists ended up their act and imparted a great learning to all the people present there at the venue. The program was officially closed with the Vote of Thanks by Dr. Reena Agrawal, Chairperson, Social Responsibility Committee, and was followed by a high tea.
The event was a success and it instilled a feeling of inspiration and motivation among the audience, specially womens.
