Lucknow: In a program organized by the Child Development Services and Nutrition Department at Lok Bhavan, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the Nutrition Month program is being celebrated successfully for the last five years. It was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2018.
He said that this is a very important campaign to make the present and future free from malnutrition. If teenagers, lactating women, mothers are well-nourished, then the children will also be healthy and capable. This will empower the society and the country as well. My goal in traveling to the district is to visit the health center and school Anganwadi center.
CM said that educated and healthy children are the basis of a strong nation. Children can be taught better through quotes. The urge to learn is high in childhood, so it is the responsibility of teachers and Anganwadi workers to inculcate good values in children.
He said that infant mortality was controlled in UP. Anemia disease was controlled. Before 2017, only those selling liquor used to do the work of distributing nutritional food. I was surprised. My government has abolished such caucuses.
Chief Minister Yogi said that women self-help groups were entrusted with the responsibility of distribution of nutritious food. Its results were positive. Anganwadi workers did good work even during the Kovid period. Anganwadi workers should do the work of data documentation in time. On this occasion, the Chief Minister performed the baby shower of pregnant women and also performed Annaprashan for some children.
In the program, Chief Minister Yogi also inaugurated foundation stone of 199 Anganwadi centers and 501 Anganwadi centers. The Chief Minister also launched the Poshan Manual Saksham and the ‘Sahyog’ app designed for digitization of Anganwadi centres.
