Online applications are invited from unemployed persons for setting up industries in rural and urban areas

Bareilly: District Village Industries Officer Ajay Pal informed that under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Program (PMEGP), online applications are invited from unemployed persons (whose age is not less than 18 years) for setting up industries in rural and urban areas.

In an exclusive interview with The Lucknow Tribune, he said that Rs 50 lakh for manufacturing and project cost up to Rs 20 lakh for service industry, and 15 percent for general category beneficiaries (male) of urban area and 25 percent for reserved category. The benefit of percentage margin money grant and 25 percent for rural (male) beneficiaries and 35 percent margin money grant to all other reserved categories is permissible. The government has achieved a revised target of providing employment to 760 people against margin money subsidy of Rs 275.50 lakh for 95 industrial units.

The District Village Industries Officer said that under the Pt. Deendayal Gramodyog Rozgar Yojana, the units established in rural areas would get the benefit of interest up to three years (up to a maximum of 13 percent) in addition to the subsidy.  While applying online, the website for application along with documents like photo of entrepreneur, Aadhar card, PAN card, caste certificate, educational qualification, no objection certificate by the head, (rural area) residence certificate, project report by CA, etc. gov.in/pmegp – KVIB will have to be uploaded.
