Lucknow: A review meeting was held in the Directorate of Urban Bodies on Friday under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Shri Rajnish Dubey regarding the works of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) and PM Svanidhi Yojana and Light House Project. Out of which the virtual meeting of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) and PM Svanidhi Yojana was completed. In which all Municipal Commissioner, Municipal Corporation / All Project Director (DUDA) / All Project Officer (DUDA) / All Executive Officer (Amrit Town) and District Headquarters officers of urban areas are virtually connected. In the review meeting, the work progressed of the Light House Project, the Additional Chief Secretary informed that the people interested in the Light House Project can now register online till July 15. At the same time, he told that if more beneficiaries come under the scheme, allotment of flats will be done by lottery. This meeting was convened by the Directorate of Urban Bodies, in which all the officers of the Directorate including SUDA Director Umesh Pratap Singh were present.
Project will be completed by December – Additional Chief Secretary
While reviewing the Additional Chief Secretary told the concerned officers that the project has to be completed by December. For this, a monthly project work progress report should be prepared, so that the project work can be completed within the stipulated time. He informed that while applying, the flat takers will have to pay Rs 45,000 at the time of allotment and the remaining amount of the flat will have to be paid in three installments, but at the time of allotment, the first installment will also have to be paid Rs 1.19 lakh. After this, the second installment of Rs 1.19 lakh will have to be paid in September and the third installment in December.
What is Light House Project
The new technology has been named Light House Project to build houses for the poor and middle class. The Light House Project is an ambitious plan of the Union Urban Ministry. In this, cheap and durable flats are made using special technology. In this, the beam-column and panel are already prepared from the factory itself. Due to which the cost of preparing such flats comes down. Wherein it gets completed in less time. The houses built in this plan are earthquake resistant. The flats are being constructed in such a way that the life of the flat will be 50 years.
Flats will be available for Rs 5.26 lakh
Under the light house project, due to low income every month, the unfulfilled dream of living in a flat will also be fulfilled. The beneficiary will get this flat, which will be prepared at a cost of 12.5865 lakh, for just Rs 5.26 lakh. Only those earning up to Rs 3 lakh per annum can apply for a flat. These flats will be in a multi-storey building to be built with light house technology in six states of the country. For this, Lucknow has been selected in Uttar Pradesh. Light House Project has been started in Sector 5 Avadh Vihar, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The carpet area is 34.50 sqm. The Central and State Government’s share in this scheme will be Rs 7.83 lakh. However, the beneficiary will have to pay only Rs 5.26 lakh. This amount will be taken from the beneficiary after allotment and a plan has also been made to get loan from the bank.
Construction going on in Avadh Vihar Sector-5
It is being constructed on two hectare land of plot number G-H-4 in Avadh Vihar Sector-5 in Lucknow. There is already a system of road, sewer, water supply and electricity from the Housing Development Council. These light houses are being built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). The light house project will have a 13-storey building. This light house project will be built at a distance of 11 km from Lucknow airport. Under this, flats are being prepared at affordable prices it will be eligible
- Annual income should be 3 lakhs
- Must be a resident of Municipal Corporation limits
- No one should have his own residence, an affidavit will have to be given12.25 lakh houses are being built under the project in 75 cities. Additional Chief Secretary Shri Rajnish Dubey directed that more and more houses should be constructed under the 100-day challenge being started by the Central Government and other work related to housing should be done prominently. So that the name of Uttar Pradesh can top the 100 Days Challenge. This 100 Days Challenge is starting from 21st June and will end on 30th September.
About 12.25 lakh houses will be built under the project in the state by March 2022
PM Svanidhi Scheme Review Virtual Meeting
While reviewing , Additional Chief Secretary Rajnish Dubey, it was informed that under PM Street Vendors Atmanirbhar Nidhi (PM Svanidhi) scheme, financial assistance is being given to street vendors across the state. Street vendors are getting the benefit of PM Svanidhi Yojana in all the municipal bodies of the state. Street vendors, who were facing financial crunch during the lockdown and corona period under PM Svanidhi Yojana, applied online. He said that implementation is being done in all the municipal bodies including 17 municipal corporations. Under the scheme, the data of about 9,82,000 urban street vendors have been made available on the portal of the distribution scheme.
