Orders to Expedite Bundelkhand Expressway Work

Lucknow: Chief Executive Officer Avnish Kumar Awasthi recently held a review meeting of the construction work of Bundelkhand Expressway. In this meeting, apart from officials related to construction companies, all the senior officials including other engineers of UPEIDA were present.

About 60 percent physical work of the project has been completed so far, the construction of bridges on Yamuna and Betwa rivers falling under the project is going on at a fast pace. Along with this, instructions were also given by Awasthi for speeding up the construction of ROB and RE panels in the work related to structures. He also directed to speed up the construction of toll plazas. Awasthi also directed to expedite the remaining work of soil and utility shifting under the project at the earliest, along with technical auditors, authority engineers and PIUs to conduct quality checks continuously. So that highest standards are maintained. The total length of the Bundelkhand Expressway project is 296 km and presently about 60 percent of the total physical progress of the project has been completed. Awasthi also informed that the construction work of Bundelkhand Expressway is being done on a war footing and work is being done at all fly-overs at a rapid pace.

04 railway over bridges, 14 long bridges, 06 toll plazas, 07 ramp plazas, 268 small bridges, 18 flyovers and 214 underpasses will be constructed on the expressway.
