Padmashree Malini Awasthi inaugurates art extravaganza at Lalit Kala Akademi Regional Centre

Lucknow: On the occasion of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” an art art exhibit has been organized by Lalit Kala Akademi, Regional Center, Aliganj, Lucknow, where works of 75 artists (senior and youth) is being showcased. The exhibition was inaugurated by famous folk singer “Padmashree” Malini Awasthi and Brigadier PK. Jaiswal Vishisht Seva Medal, Deputy Inspector General, ITBP Lucknow. Everyone observed and appreciated the artefacts installed in all the three galleries of the center.

The Chief Guest of the program “Padmashree” Malini Awasthi said that today’s special event has a special meaning which will give a new dimension to the episode of Amrit Mahotsav of our country’s freedom. In this special exhibition, the way we are remembering the freedom fighters of our country in this way, art and culture have also played an important role in which our artists have engraved their own mediums and ideas on canvas for this.

Thanks to the artists. Awasthi appreciated this program by discussing such continuous art activities of Lalit Kala Akademi. Brigadier P.K. Jaiswal said that the National Lalit Kala Akademi today, on the eve of Independence Day, we deeply appreciate this special art exhibition on the eve of Independence Day, as well as to all the participating artists of this exhibition, their art is highly commendable.

Regional Secretary of the Regional Centre, Dr. Devendra Tripathi said that in this art exhibition the works of well-known senior and young artists of the country have been displayed. In which Vidhan no. In 1 the artefacts created in the national painting camps based on the fighters associated with the freedom struggle have been included, while Vithika no. Artworks of 75 invited senior and young artists of Lucknow, scholarships of Lalit Kala Akademi and artists working in the workshop have been displayed in 2nd and 3rd. Along with this, the Regional Secretary also informed that this event has been conceived by the President of the Akademi, Uma Nanduri and the Secretary-in-Charge  Ramakrishna Vedala.

On this occasion Prof. Sunil Saxena of the city,  Sandeep Bhatia, Dr. Alok Kumar,  Umesh Saxena, Mohd. Shakeel, Dr. Sanjeev Kishore Gautam, Curator Bhupendra Asthana. A total of 75 artists including Sukhveer Singh Singhal, Laljit Tahir, Amit Kumar,  Uday Raj Maurya,  Vikas Singh etc. participated. On the occasion of completion of 75 years of independence, all the events of art and culture are being organized on the Amrit Mahotsav of independence, while Lalit Kala Akademi, taking its visual arts, remembering the brave sons of freedom, all the exhibitions, art camps are organized.

The episode in which a bird’s eye view of the artifacts was shown. Equal place has been given to various mediums of artworks displayed in the exhibition like wash painting, sculpture, ceramics, painting etc. Where there are portraits and pictures based on their lives remembering the fighters associated with the freedom struggle, as well as pictures based on contemporary concepts have also been included. From the point of view of medium, there are artifacts like acrylic, oil, watercolor, pen and ink, fiber, clay, metal etc. The exhibition will be open till 19th August 2022 for viewing for all the artists and art lovers of the city.
