Pakistan trounced by India in a mega Asia Cup clash

Dubai: Batting first, Pakistan scored 147 runs in 19.5 overs. Mohammad Rizwan scored 43 runs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took four and Hardik Pandya took three wickets. In reply, India won the tough match by five wickets in 19.4 overs. Hardik ends the match with a six. India started the Asia Cup 2022 with a win. In the first match, India defeated Pakistan by five wickets. Batting first, Pakistan scored 147 runs in 19.5 overs. Mohammad Rizwan scored 43 runs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took four and Hardik Pandya took three wickets.

In reply, India won the tough match by five wickets in 19.4 overs. Hardik ends the match with a six. For India, Virat Kohli scored 35 runs, Ravindra Jadeja scored 35 runs in 29 balls and Hardik Pandya scored 33 runs in 17 balls. For Pakistan, Mohammad Nawaz took three and Naseem Shah took two wickets. The Indian team will now take on Hong Kong in their next match on August 31. At the same time, Pakistan’s team will take on Hong Kong on September 2.

India took revenge from Pakistan

India has defeated Pakistan for the fourth time in a row in the Asia Cup. Earlier in 2016, India defeated Pakistan by five wickets. After this, in the 2018 Asia Cup, Team India defeated by 8 wickets in the first match and nine wickets in the second match. With this victory, India also avenged the defeat in the T20 World Cup 2021 from Pakistan. Pakistan defeated India by 10 wickets at the Dubai International Stadium in the 2021 T20 World Cup. Now India has beaten Pakistan.

India implicated Pakistan in strategy

The Indian team came into today’s match with a strategy. He bowled short balls continuously. The first five wickets of Pakistan fell on the short ball itself. Babar Azam was dismissed for 10 runs, Fakhar Zaman scored 10 runs, Iftikhar Ahmed scored 28 runs, Khushdil Shah scored two runs and Mohammad Rizwan scored 43 runs. In the 15th over, Hardik Pandya sent Rizwan and Khushdil to the pavilion. After this, Shadab Khan was dismissed for 10 runs, Asif Ali scored nine runs.

Apart from Rizwan, Pakistani top order failed

Mohammad Nawaz could not do much and was dismissed after scoring one run. Bhuvneshwar missed a hat-trick in the 19th over. He sent Shadab and Naseem Shah to the pavilion in two consecutive balls. Shahnawaz Dahani hit some big shots in the last over. He hit two sixes. However, Arshdeep clean bowled Dahani on the fifth ball of the 20th over. Dahani scored 16 runs off six balls.

Indian team got off to a bad start

Chasing the target of 148 runs, the Indian team had a very poor start. KL Rahul was bowled on the second ball of the first over. He was sent to the pavilion by 19-year-old fast bowler Naseem Shah, making his T20 debut. Rahul could not even open the account. After this, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli shared 49 runs in 46 balls for the second wicket.

Jadeja-Surya took over

Ravindra Jadeja shared a partnership of 36 runs in 31 balls with Suryakumar Yadav. Suryakumar was bowled by Naseem. He could score 18 runs in 18 balls. India needed 51 runs in the last five overs. After this, Hardik and Jadeja shared a 52-run partnership in 29 balls for the fifth wicket.

Thrill of the last five overs

Hardik Pandya and Jadeja added 10 runs in the 16th over.
India needed 41 runs in the last four overs.
Hardik and Jadeja added 9 runs in the 17th over.
India needed 32 runs in the last three overs.
Jadeja hit a six in the 18th over and the team scored a total of 11 runs.
In the last two overs, India needed 21 runs to win.
Hardik hit three consecutive fours off the last three balls of Haris Rauf’s 19th over. The match turned right here.
India needed seven runs in the last over. Mohammad Nawaz comes to bowl.
On the very first ball of the 20th over, Nawaz clean bowled Jadeja. Jadeja was dismissed for 35 runs in 29 balls with the help of two fours and two sixes.
India needed six runs off the last three balls. Hardik hit a six off the fourth ball to give India victory.
