Lucknow: The Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party of Praspa President Shivpal Singh Yadav, who became an MLA on the ticket of Samajwadi Party, can fight the municipal and mayor elections in UP separately from Akhilesh Yadav’s SP and against the SP. Shivpal said that he is feeling neglected in SP. Due to the neglect of party president Akhilesh Yadav, he will soon activate the organization of his Pragatisheel Samaj Party in the entire state and will field it in the elections of mayor and municipal bodies to be held in Uttar Pradesh.
Shivpal was talking to reporters at the residence of Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party national general secretary Chakrapani Yadav in Shastrinagar on Wednesday. Shivpal said that before the assembly elections, former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav had come to the house to celebrate and had persuaded him to contest the elections and give respect in future.
He said that he fought elections on Samajwadi Party ticket following Akhilesh Yadav’s talk but he regrets that Akhilesh Yadav did not entrust him with any responsibility in the assembly elections. Not being invited to any party meeting. Shivpal Yadav talked about fielding a separate candidate from the Samajwadi Party in the municipal elections of Uttar Pradesh to be held in November. He said that soon the organization of the Progressive Samajwadi Party will be rebuilt and will start preparing for the elections.
On supporting NDA’s presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu, despite being a Samajwadi Party MLA, he said that the opposition and his party never asked him for votes for the presidential candidate nor was he invited to the meeting. When NDA called him for a banquet and asked for votes, he agreed to support.
