People should be made aware by running a campaign for effective control of communicable diseases and encephalitis: District Magistrate

Bareilly: Under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Shivakant Dwivedi, a meeting was held in the Collectorate Auditorium regarding effective control of communicable diseases and encephalitis.
District Magistrate Shivakant Dwivedi directed the Medical and Health Department that a campaign should be launched from October 1 to October 31, 2022 for the prevention of cases of communicable diseases and meningitis, so that more and more people could become aware. He said that proper arrangement of patient vehicle should be made for free transportation of patients. He said that the Panchayati Raj Department should make proper arrangements for dustbins, cleaning of drains and sanitization in the villages. He instructed the District Panchayat Raj Officer that a meeting should be held by making the village heads of all the villages as nodals. He said that from October 7 to October 21, 2022, ASHAs should run Har Ghar Dastak campaign, in which information about communicable disease control should be given door-to-door by ASHAs.
The District Magistrate directed the Chief Medical Officer that a weekly meeting should be held in which Chief Development Officer, CHC and doctors of PHC should also be included. He directed the Chief Medical Officer that doctors should be available 24 hours at all CHC centers. He directed the education department that teachers should be made aware about the prevention, prevention and treatment of encephalitis and communicable diseases. He said that special attention should be paid to the cleanliness of drinking water, toilets etc. He said that poster competition, debate competition and essay writing competition should be ensured to make the students aware about the prevention of diseases, environmental cleanliness and personal hygiene with active participation. He said that Anganwadi workers should make a list of all malnourished and very malnourished children of their area and give them proper nutrition.
The District Magistrate directed the Chief Medical Officer that the campaign should be made successful by coordinating between various departments at district, block and panchayat/village levels for prevention and control activities related to communicable diseases and encephalitis.
Chief Development Officer Jag Pravesh, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Balveer Singh, District Information Officer Yogendra Pratap Singh, all CHC and PHC doctors and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
