In financial capital Mumbai, the price of petrol has increased to Rs 96.32 per liter and price of diesel to Rs 87.32 per liter. Reportedly, the price of petrol has reached its highest ever in many cities. The steep hike is visible with some places selling petrol at Rs 100 per liter.
The price of petrol and diesel changes at 6 am daily. The new rates are applicable from 6 o’clock in the morning. The price changes with excise duty, dealer commission and other things added. Petrol and diesel prices change every day, depending on what the prices of crude are.
The retail price of petrol diesel in India is linked to the price of crude oil in the global market. If the price of crude oil is low globally, then petrol diesel will be cheaper in India.
