Pinker Shade of IPL excites India in 2023

Lucknow / New Delhi: The first season of the Women’s Indian Premier League (WIPL) is about to start soon. There will be five teams in the first season. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has sold all these five teams, due to which the board has driven big revenue. BCCI has received Rs 4669.99 crore from the five teams. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has given this information by tweeting. He made three consecutive tweets, stating that the official name of the Women’s IPL has now been changed to the Women’s Premier League (WPL).

The five teams that will enter the first season of the Women’s Premier League will be Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Lucknow and Delhi. They have been auctioned. In this, the highest bid has been made for the Ahmedabad team, which has been placed by the Adani Group. After this, the second number Mumbai team has been bought by Indiawin Sports, it is a Reliance Group company. That is, this time in the women’s IPL, the fans will see Adani Group and Reliance Group teams face to face.

Who bought the five teams for how much?

1. Adani Sportsline PVT. LTD, Ahmedabad, Rs 1289 crore.
2. Indiawin Sports PVT. LTD (Reliance Group), Mumbai, 912.99 crores
3. Royal Challengers Sports PVT. LTD, Bengaluru, 901 crores
4. JSW GMR Cricket PVT. LTD, Delhi, 810 crores
5. Capri Global Holdings PVT. LTD, Lucknow, 757 crores

Women’s Premier League can be held in March

The BCCI has not yet released the schedule of the Women’s Premier League, but if reports are to be believed, this tournament can be held from March 4 to 26 this year. Before this, the player’s auction is also to be held regarding the women’s IPL.

There is a possibility of 22 matches in the first season. All these matches can be held at Brabourne Stadium and DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. Wankhede Stadium will be kept fresh for men’s IPL. This tournament is likely to be held from March 31 to April 1.

Players purse will increase every year in women’s IPL

The players’ purse in the women’s IPL will be Rs 12 crore in the first season. It will increase gradually every year, which will become Rs 18 crore after 5 years. In the second season, the players’ purse will increase from Rs 12 crore to Rs 13.5 crore. After this, it will be Rs 15 crore in the 2025 season. In the 2026 season, this players purse will increase to Rs 16.5 crore. While finally in the fifth year i.e. 2027, this purse will increase to Rs 18 crore.

The champion team will get Rs 6 crore

There is a possibility of 22 matches in the first season. All these matches can be held at Brabourne Stadium and DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. Wankhede Stadium will be kept fresh for men’s IPL. This tournament is likely to be held from March 31 to April 1. Let us tell you that BCCI has recently sold the media rights of Women’s IPL to Viacom 18 for Rs 950 crore.

In the women’s IPL, Rs 10 crore has been fixed as prize money for the players. While the champion team will get Rs 6 crore and the runner-up team will get Rs 3 crore. One crore rupees will be given to the third-placed team.
