Plans afoot to setup Compressed Biogas plants in 11 districts of Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: In the context of Uttar Pradesh State Bio-Energy Policy-2022 a “meet” was organized at UPNEDA’s training center Deva Road, Chinhat with potential investors, in which subject experts, Compressed Bio Gas (CBG) about 350 people including FPOs from different districts, representatives of banks, technical providers and officials of UPNEDA participated along with the investors of Diesel, Bio Pellet.

The “Meet” was inaugurated by the Director, UPNEDA  Anupam Shukla by lighting the lamp. On this occasion, he said that under the new bio-energy policy of the state government, investors setting up units in the field of biomass, biodiesel would be benefitted. Farmers’ income and employment will increase.

Along with this, the problem of pollution in the state will also come down. He said that abundant biomass is available in the state for setting up the unit. Information regarding the grants/incentives admissible under the promulgated policy was provided by Secretary and Chief Project Officer, UPNEDA,  Neelam and in-charge of Bio Energy Ajay Kumar.

Providing detailed information regarding Compressed Biogas to Ever-Environs by  Deepak Agarwal, the desire to set up Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) plants in 11 districts of the state was expressed. In the meet, information regarding the application process was provided to the investors by operating the Bio Energy Portal prepared by UPNEDA. In the meeting/meet, presentation of Indian Oil, Hindustan Petroleum along with the success story of the established units was also done.
