Lucknow: Coordination between development and environment is the top priority of the government and continuous efforts are being made in this direction. Dara Singh Chouhan said that like previous years, the department should set an example by planting high quality trees with full devotion.
The above statement was given by the Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department, Dara Singh Chouhan on the occasion of unveiling the “Logo” of the Plantation People’s Movement-2021 at Aranya Bhawan of Forest Department Headquarters.
He said the motto “Prakriti: Rakshati Rakshata” shown in the “Logo” is taken from the “Logo” of the Government of India which means that nature protects those who protect nature.
In view of the need for widespread public awareness and public participation for the grand campaign of planting 30 crore saplings in the coming rainy season, plantation is being done by various government departments on their own and with public cooperation.
He said that in this mass movement, all sections of the society including voluntary organizations, students, youth, women, soldiers and farmers are being connected with the tree plantation campaign. In view of the above, tree plantation mass movement-2021 has been mentioned in the logo.
On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary Environment, Forest and Climate Change Manoj Singh, Head of Forest Force / Principal Chief Conservator of Forests / Head of Department Sunil Pandey, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest Wildlife Pawan Kumar Sharma, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Scheme and Agro-Forestry Senior officers including Mukesh Kumar were present. Chief Conservator of Forests, Conservator of Forests and Divisional Forest Officer level officers participated online in the release ceremony.
