PM Modi leads charge to rethink strategy to give MSMEs a push

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the ‘Entrepreneur India’ program at Vigyan Bhawan. PM Modi flagged off many new schemes for MSMEs through this program. During this, he said that it is very important for the country’s MSME sector to be strengthened, for India’s exports to increase continuously, for India’s products to reach new markets.

Launched new features of schemes

PM also introduced new features of the schemes ‘Enhancing and Accelerating the Performance of MSMEs’ (RAMP) and ‘Capacity Building for First Time Exporter MSMEs’ (CBFTE) Scheme (CBFTE) and ‘Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Program’ (PMEGP) schemes. Of.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed the National MSME Awards 2022 in recognition of the contribution of MSMEs, States/UTs, Aspirational Districts and Banks for their outstanding performance in the growth and development of India’s MSME sector.

Government committed for the upliftment of MSMEs

In this program, Union Minister Narayan Rane said that the government is committed for the upliftment of MSMEs. He said that the government has taken many steps for this and due to this new features are being launched today.

Digital assistance of more than 500 crores given to PMEGP beneficiaries

Along with the launch of the schemes, PM Modi also digitally transferred assistance amounting to more than 500 crores to 18000 beneficiaries of PMEGP for 2022-23. The event also saw the announcement of the results of the MSME Idea Hackathon 2022, National MSME Awards and Digital Equity Certificates to 75 MSMEs in the Atmanirbhar Bharat (SRI) Fund.

Many already running schemes for MSME

The government has already started several initiatives like MUDRA Scheme, Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme and Scheme of Fund for Upliftment of Traditional Industries (SFURTI) to provide necessary and timely assistance to the MSME sector from time to time. Due to which crores of people have benefited.

Now many facilities will be available in PMEGP

MSMEs are going to benefit immensely from the launch of new features of the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Program (PMEGP). Under this, the maximum project cost for the manufacturing sector will be increased by Rs 50 lakh (from Rs 25 lakh) and in the service sector by Rs 20 lakh (from Rs 10 lakh). At the same time, under the new scheme, now applicants from aspirational districts and transgenders will also be included in it. Also, assistance will be provided to applicants and entrepreneurs through appointment of banking, technical and marketing experts.
