Politics of appeasement continues unabated in India – Mayawati

Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati attacked the BJP and said that after coming to power by doing narrow politics in the name of appeasement by the BJP, now the game of repressing and terrorizing them continues.

Mayawati on Friday targeted the BJP government through a tweet and said that the complaint of Muslim society being exploited, neglected and riot-victimization has been common in the Congress era, yet the BJP is in power by doing narrow politics in the name of appeasement.

After coming in, now the game of repressing and terrorizing them continues, which is very sad and condemnable.
Mayawati further said that in this sequence, now the BJP government has a crooked eye on madrasas in UP. In the name of madrassa survey, efforts to intervene in private madrassas running on community donations are also unfair, while the government should focus on improving the poor condition of government subsidized madrassas and government schools.

It is worth noting that earlier on Thursday, Mayawati had targeted the BJP government with a tweet. The BSP chief demanded immediate help of the farmers from the Uttar Pradesh and Central Government in view of the drought-like situation in Uttar Pradesh this year due to very less rainfall. In the past, Mayawati had described the announcement of help to the farmers by the Uttar Pradesh government like cumin in the mouth of a camel.
