Poonam Tandon appointed Vice-Chancellor of Deendayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University

Lucknow: Professor Poonam Tandon has been working as Professor in the Department of Physics, Lucknow University since 2006, and has been teaching at Lucknow University for almost 30 years. Along with this, more than 250 of her research papers have been published in national and international journals. Around 40 students have completed their PhD work under her.

Professor Poonam Tandon received many awards

Professor Poonam Tandon has also worked with many international organizations. In Lucknow University, she is holding the coveted post of  Dean Student Welfare and Dean Academics.  Professor Poonam Tandon has also received Young Scientist Award, UGC Award, Fulbright Scholarship, Hum Bulat Award and Shikshak Shree Samman.

Uttar Pradesh Governor and Chancellor Uttar Pradesh All University Anandiben Patel has appointed Professor Poonam Tandon as the Vice-Chancellor of Deendayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University.

Professor Poonam Tandon’s first priority is education, discipline and ranking

Professor Poonam Tandon said that Deendayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University is currently NAAC A+ plus grade awarded university. Under the guidance of the Governor, her aim will be to make best efforts to get Gorakhpur University a better place in various national and international rankings.
