Stay away from tobacco to protect health and environment. Dr. Suryakant
On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day, an awareness program was organized under the chairmanship of Dr. Suryakant, HOD, Department of Respiratory, King George’s Medical University. Presiding over the programme, Dr. Suryakant said that three times the revenue earned by the government from tobacco trade is spent only on three major diseases caused by it.
Every year 60 million trees are cut all over the world in this trade and due to the consumption of this tobacco, eighty four million carbon dioxide is spread in the atmosphere. That is why for the protection of the environment along with our health, we all should avoid tobacco ourselves and every person with us should be protected from it, he told that today a letter has also been sent to Honorable Prime Minister Modi, in which this matter.
They have been requested to stop tobacco completely and the laborers who cultivate tobacco should be made to cultivate flowers for perfume. Haji Shiraz Uddin of All India Payame Insaniyat Forum said that tobacco has been shown in our society and some tobacco advertisement associating it with Atithi Devo Bhava i.e. hospitality which is absolutely wrong, what is evil cannot be good for anyone,
Thanking Dr. Suryakant or his entire team, Mufti Abul Qasim Nadvi Sahab said that such programs should continue, if there are no people who call evil as evil, then it will be difficult to eliminate that evil. Dr Ankit told that under the supervision of Dr Suryakant in the Respiratory Department of King George’s Medical University, the patients of tobacco are treated, he said that our team tries to get the patient right through counseling without medicine.
