Potato peels to come in handy to cleanse Ganga of hazardous intoxicants

Varanasi: Potato is the king of vegetables used in every household. Its peel is usually thrown in the dustbin. Now this potato peel will be helpful in making Ganga clean. Along with this, the contaminated water coming out of the factories will be purified. Scientists at TripleIT have put in place  a nano-based autonomously propelled magnetic microbot from potato peel. These microbots are a type of microscopic particles that will be helpful in purifying polluted water.

Microbots made from potato peels will prove to be very useful in cleaning the waste from industrial areas (which contain large amounts of toxic and carcinogenic chemicals like organic dyes). These microbots have been developed using biocompatible carbon dots from potato peel as an integrated component. It is almost 100% effective in purifying water.
