Lucknow: Secretary, Vocational Education and Skill Development Department of the state, Alok Kumar informed that the training session in state/private industrial training institutes of the state has started from August, 2021, the last date of which is till August 28, 2021. The publicity of which is being done at the departmental level by conducting “ITI Chalo Abhiyan”.
Along with this, a training session will be conducted from August, 2021 with the participation of industries under Dual System Training-DST for a total of 14,356 seats in all the institutes of the state. All the trainees who get admission in DST seats will spend 03 to 12 months in industries during their entire training period, where they will get practical training on shop-floor.
DST trained youth will get easier access to better employment. Along with this, industries will also be able to prepare workers according to their demand and requirement. He said that letters have been sent to all the district magistrates to promote ITI Chalo campaign and Dual System Training-DST campaign/programme from district level. So that the youth of remote rural areas can also be benefitted.
Kumar said that the State Government is committed to provide all round development and infrastructure facilities of the youth to the people, through which the employment opportunities arising out of the supply of trained youth manpower by the State/Private Industrial Training Institutes of the State. done through youth. Therefore, the utility of state/private industrial training institutes for facilitating training according to the employment opportunities being created in the state is self-evident.
Kumar said that vocational education and technical skills are the backbone of inclusive development of the individual as well as the society and the country, it is not enough for a person to be educated only, but it is also necessary for the livelihood to be equipped with skillful and technical education. Skill trained youth through vocational training is the source of energy for the success of the Government of India’s Make in India Start Up and Stand Up and Digital India schemes.
