Priyanka Gandhi Vadra questions priorities of Centre on PM house controversy

New Delhi: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has questioned the rationale of spending 13000 crores rupees on the construction of Prime Minister’s house under the Central Vista project, saying that resources should be used to save the lives of people at this time.

Vadra tweeted, “When the people of the country are struggling with lack of oxygen, vaccines, hospital beds, medicines, then it would be better if the government put all the resources to save the lives of the people instead of building a new house of PM for 13,000 crores . Such expenses send a message to the public that the government’s priorities are in some other direction. ”

Interestingly the tweet comes at a time when earlier, the head of the party’s communications department, Randeep Singh Surjewala attacked the government over the project and said that more than two crore people have been infected with Corona in the country and the number of dead has reached more than 19 lakhs.

He said that when this is the situation in India, then is it necessary to make Prime Minister Modi ’’s new house, PM office, Ministers’ offices, Parliament or providing life saving medicine, oxygen, ventilator, hospital beds etc.
