Meanwhile, the organizers of the Pro Kabaddi League have announced the official date for the players’ auction for the 9th season. Which will be organized in Mumbai.

The players’ auction for the 9th season of Pro Kabaddi League will be held on August 5-6. In this 12 franchisees will be seen bidding. It is noteworthy that during the Pro Kabaddi League, a franchise can place bets on a minimum of 18 players and a maximum of 25 players. For this, each team will have an amount of Rs 4.4 crore. The 24 players in the top 2 of Khelo India University 2021 Games are also being included for the first time for the auction of the 9th season.
Players will be auctioned in 4 categories
The players for the auction will be divided mainly into three categories, which include Domestic, Overseas and New Young Players (NYP). After this, four sub-categories – A, B, C and D will be created and the players in each category will be further divided as ‘All-rounders’, ‘Defenders’ and ‘Raiders’.
The base price for each category has been kept as follows
Category A – Rs 30 lakh
Category B – Rs 20 lakh
Category C – Rs 10 lakh
Category D – Rs 6 lakh
