Lucknow: A joint team of Vikasnagar and Crime Branch have nabbed a pro-Khalistani terrorist Jagdev Singh alias Jagga from the secretariat intersection. His links have been confirmed with one of his partners who was arrested from Punjab. The alleged terrorist was caught after the input of the Punjab Police. The police produced the terrorist in court after questioning. From where the Punjab Police sent him on transit remand.
As per Joint Commissioner of Police Nilabja Chaudhary, the team of State Special Operations Cell Amritsar of Punjab Police were contacted. They were given a lead that a pro-Khalistani terrorist is going to Lucknow. His partner Jagroop Singh has been arrested in Punjab. After this, the team of Crime Branch and North Zone became active. In a joint operation, the police team caught him at the Secretariat Colony on Monday afternoon. The terrorist caught is a resident of Ferozepur Fategarh Sabra in Punjab.
Jagga and his partner were funded by Paramjit Singh Pammah from England and Maltani Singh from Germany. Police is constantly monitoring all accounts. Jagga and many of his associates are active in anti-national activities due to funding from abroad.
According to the police, Jagga and his partner Jagroop used to buy cartridges and money from money coming from England and Germany. With the recent funding, both of them had gone to Madhya Pradesh and ordered a large consignment. According to the Punjab Police team, these two had purchased more than 800 articles. Jagdev Singh Jagga had been lodged in Amritsar for seven months in 2019 and one month in Gurdaspur jail last year.
A 10-member team led by Inspector Indradeep Singh and Daroga Parminder Singh of the State Special Operation Cell of Punjab Police were chasing Jagga from Punjab.
