Bhopal: Even before the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, the BJP is going to calculate its victory by implementing the Gujarat formula in the Shivraj government. In this, those ministers will be made to sit at home, whose performance is not good. The third and final cabinet expansion and major reshuffle of the Shivraj government is likely to happen in the last week of February, the shortest month of the year, as the BJP’s restructuring plan will begin by February 25.
There are indications of 10 to 12 new faces joining the cabinet. Currently four posts are vacant in the cabinet. It is believed that there may be 6 to 8 vacancies among the existing ministers. Along with this, there can be a reshuffle in the departments of ministers on a large scale. At present there are 31 members in the cabinet including the Chief Minister. The cabinet can have 35 members including the chief minister.
With the filling of these four vacant posts, non-performing ministers can be changed. A consensus has been reached in the two core committees held recently, as the complaints of some ministers had also reached the core committee.
Organization’s eye on ministers.
The organization is keeping an eye on 6 ministers of the current cabinet. This includes two ministers from Bundelkhand, one from Malwa-Nimar, one from Gwalior division, one from Madhya Bharat and one from Vindhya. Union Home Minister Amit Shah had made it clear during his visit to Bhopal that everyone will have to do their work sincerely.
It is believed that the portfolios of those ministers who have huge portfolios can be changed. However, CM Shivraj would not want to take the risk before the elections. In such a situation, who will be removed from the post of minister, this decision will be taken by the central leadership.
9 ministers Jyotiraditya Scindia supporters
30 percent of the ministers in the Shivraj cabinet are Jyotiraditya Scindia supporters. Among the pro-Scindia MLAs, 6 ministers have got the status of cabinet ministers and three are ministers of state. It is believed that pro-Scindia ministers may also fall under fire. It is not yet clear which ministers can be removed. If this happens, Jajpal Singh Jajji and Manoj Chaudhary of the Scindia camp may get a place in the cabinet.
Vindhya’s quota may increase
In view of the assembly elections of the year 2023, the BJP is now preparing to deal with the local and caste equations as well. The BJP had performed brilliantly in the 2018 assembly elections in the Vindhya region. To repeat the same performance here again in 2023, BJP can increase the number of ministers from here.
