Progress of each district has to be the responsibility of each officer – Durga Shankar Mishra

Lucknow: Chief Secretary  Durga Shankar Mishra addressed the concluding session of the basic training of the newly appointed officers of the urban bodies. The special function has been organized by the Institute of Urban Training and Research on the completion of the basic training of newly appointed Executive Officer/Assistant Municipal Commissioner, Assistant Engineer (Traffic), Executive Officer (Nagar Panchayat) and Revenue Inspectors of Uttar Pradesh Municipality (Centralized) Service.

In his address, the chief guest of the program and Chief Secretary  Durga Shankar Mishra gave best wishes to the newly appointed officers as well as guided them. He said that the concept of living a better life is increasing rapidly and due to this the population in the cities is also increasing rapidly. In the year 2011, 31 percent of the state’s population was living in cities, which has now increased to 36 percent.

He asked the newly appointed officers to go to their respective districts and celebrate the foundation day of that district. Every year when the Foundation Day is celebrated, then it should be seen that how much progress has the district made within one year and what are the future possibilities?

He said that the success of the public welfare schemes implemented by the Honorable Prime Minister and the Chief Minister and the responsibility of taking them to the people rests on their shoulders. At present, there is a wave of change going on in the country, every person wants to progress and that is why he is coming towards the city.

He said that cities are the main base of economic development and rural areas are the basis of production. He said that from education, health, entertainment to water, electricity, gas, houses all kinds of amenities are available in the city, that’s why people want to come here and it is our responsibility to make our cities clean and beautiful from every point of view.

Referring to the Swachh Bharat Mission, he said that Indore has been on the first rung for many years, all of you officers should take a pledge to make your district so good in this campaign that it ranks at least among the first 10 in the country. Make space in place.

He said that every employee should be serious about his work and responsibility and for this reason he will connect every employee of the state with the Mission Karmayogi scheme of the Central Government and make registration mandatory. He told the newly appointed officers that they should never lose their hunger to learn. Even today, after working for 40 years, he learns something new every day.

He said that GIS base is being prepared for every city with more than 50 thousand population and after that a master plan will be prepared for all these districts so that they can be developed. The development work that is done without planning, there is more possibility of disturbance than improvement in it, so the government is very serious on this subject. He expected the newly appointed officers to work whole heartedly in the places where they have been appointed.

In the program, Principal Secretary Urban Development  Amrit Abhijat said that there are many challenges in the new job now. The responsibility of taking the country forward is on them. The newly appointed officers have to do their best to take the state forward.

Earlier, Director Urban Body  Neha Sharma welcomed all the guests. He said that all the officers have been trained to deal with the challenges as well as work according to their potential, efficiency management and make them technically proficient. The trainees were given detailed information about the methods of working from the classroom to the field, so that they can perform at their best.

Neha Sharma said that the newly appointed officers also prepared the evaluation report of the mock survey. This will help them to understand the Swachh Survekshan and improve their organization. He informed that 05 Assistant Municipal Commissioners, 81 Executive Officers, 9 Revenue Inspectors and 2 Assistant Engineers (Traffic) have successfully completed this basic training programme.

During this, a drama was staged on cleanliness. The trainees were also felicitated for their excellent performance during the training programme. On the basis of internal evaluation,  Devkinandan,  Shilu Awasthi and Mohd. Anwar was honored with the Best Trainee Award. On the other hand,  Abhinav Srivastava,  Dinesh Kumar,  Sandeep Saraswat,  Aarti Sahu,  Priyanka and  Saurabh Nath were awarded the Best Performer Award for their excellent performance in the mock survey.

During the program Secretary Urban Development  Ranjan Kumar, Additional Director Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban)  Ritu Suhas, Deputy Director (Administration)  Rashmi Singh, Chief Engineer Urban Bodies Directorate Rajveer Singh, Assistant Director (R)  Rashmi Singh, Asst. Director (S)  Savita Shukla, Additional Director (Veterinarian) Dr. Aslam Ansari, Assistant Director (Accounts)  Akhil Singh, Deputy Director Training Dr. Sunil Kumar Singh and other senior officers were present.
