Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnav gets fulsome praise for railway station upgradation efforts
Lucknow: Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Horticulture, Agricultural Marketing, Agriculture, Foreign Trade and Agricultural Export, Dinesh Pratap Singh thanked Railway Minister, Government of India, Ashwani Vaishnav for giving approval to upgrade Bachhrawan, Lalganj and Unchahar railway stations including Rae Bareilly. On Tuesday, the minister inspected Rae Bareli railway station along with DRM Lucknow. It was informed by the railway officials that the request of Minister Dinesh Pratap Singh to construct railway overbridges at several railway crossings in Rae Bareli district has been approved by the Railway Minister of the Government of India, including Senhgo, Harchandpur, Murai Ka Bagh, Savaiya Dhani etc. and Munshiganj Railway Overbridge has already been sanctioned on request.
During the inspection, the Minister told that continuous communication was established with the Minister of Railways, Government of India and the officials of the Railways, due to which all the obstacles were removed in connection with the development of the second entrance of the station in the shape of Baba Bhavareshwar Shiv Temple Kuri Sudauli.
It was decided to construct three roads from Ratapur side as access road to the station, so that the culture and heritage of Rae Bareli could be experienced on reaching the railway station. He said that it was also decided to provide automatic escalator and lift facility at all platforms of Rae Bareilly Railway Station. Apart from this, the request for doubling of the Rae Bareli to Unchahar Prayagraj rail route has also been approved by the Railway Minister.
Minister Dinesh Pratap Singh said that for the construction of second entrance of Rae Bareilly railway station, a big campus will be developed by demolishing old railway buildings, in which all basic facilities including portico, car parking, ticket house, toilet, waiting room etc. will be available. It was decided to remove the useless building around the old railway station, arrange a big park, canteen etc. for the passengers to visit the main entrance, facade lights, renovation of platforms, renovation and modernization etc.
In this way, state-of-the-art passenger facilities will be made available while giving a grand appearance to the railway station of the entire Rae Bareli city.
