Ramswaroop Tigerz climbs the leaderboard at Adani presents Lucknow Golf League 2023

Lucknow: Ramswaroop Tigerz got the better of GS Express Squad 4-1 in a tense Group A encounter as teams fought windy conditions at the Adani presents Lucknow Golf League 2023 here at the Lucknow Golf Club.

In the day’s other results, Amazing Origins halved their second consecutive match, this time against True Friend Basecamp Champions while Mauribagh Kings beat BBD Rangers 4.5-0.5. Today’s results meant four teams are within 2 points of each other in the fight to qualify for the quarter-finals.

Ramswaroop Tigerz began with a purpose and the results showed they did not lose a single game. They won the two singles games with LGC captain Adesh Seth and Ajay Bhasin logging in the points. With all three Fourball games going down to the wire, the Tigerz held their nerve and won one and halved two games.

In the first match of the day, Amazing Origins squandered their leads in the back nine of the golf course as they only managed to score 2.5 points. True Friend Basecamp Champions inched away their deficit and made a spirited comeback after trailing in all games at one point. Their surge was led by team captain Vikram Singh and his partner Harsh Kumar Rastogi along with the pair of Dinesh Kumar Singh & Jitender Kumar carding the wins.

The Mauribagh Kings seemed to be in a hurry as they wrapped up their games by big margins and almost blanked BBD Rangers who had a real bad day at the office.
