Ranipur Tiger reserve to come into existence very soon says Yogi Adityanath

Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government is sensitive about the conservation of the national animal tiger. Taking forward the matter of tiger conservation, it has been decided to make the fourth tiger reserve of the state at Ranipur in Chitrakoot. This Tiger Reserve is going to come into existence very soon.

CM Yogi was addressing the inter-border cooperation workshop organized by the Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change of the state government at Yogiraj Baba Gambhirnath Auditorium on International Tiger Day. In this workshop organized for tiger conservation, the Chief Minister associated with Lucknow through virtual medium said that the description of tiger is also found in the discussions of Vedas and ancient texts.

In our country in 1973, the Save Tiger Project was started declaring it as the national animal. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India achieved its target of Save Tiger in 2018 ahead of time. The CM informed that the number of tigers in Uttar Pradesh at the state level was 106 in 2006, which increased to 173 in 2018.

When the results of the new census of tigers come, this number is estimated to be around 200. Referring to the Gorakhpur Zoo along with the discussion of Tiger Reserve in Ranipur, CM Yogi said that a white tiger has come to the Zoological Park of Gorakhpur. This will give an opportunity to the people of Gorakhpur to protect it.

Tiger is a symbol of courage and strength

Congratulating the animal lovers and the people of the state on International Tiger Day through a tweet on Friday morning, CM Yogi said that all of us should take a pledge to create an ecosystem conducive to the conservation of the national animal tiger, a symbol of courage and strength.

Gorakhpur zoo will get another white tiger: Forest Minister

In the workshop organized on International Tiger Day, Dr. Arun Kumar Saxena, Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Forest, Environment, Animal Park and Climate Change Department, said that soon Gorakhpur Zoo will get another white tiger gift. A white tiger (female tiger Geeta) has already been brought here from Lucknow Zoo. The second white tiger will be brought from Chennai Zoo. Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State for the Department KP Malik said that 50 percent concession in ticket fee would be given to visit Nag Devta (Cobra) at Gorakhpur Zoo on the day of Nagpanchami. Film actor Randeep Hooda, MP Ravi Kishan Shukla also addressed the workshop in virtual mode.
