Lucknow: Under the direction of the Agriculture Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Surya Pratap Shahi, under the Price Support Scheme to prevent devaluation of the yield of pulse crops in the state, the Yogi government has procured 52598 MT Urad, 11607.86 MT Groundnut, 53608.58 gram, 13891.85 MT Lentils and 2985.95 MT Rye and Mustard.
According to the detailed report received from the Agriculture Department, under the Price Support Scheme, 3239.86 MT of groundnut was procured in the year 2020-21 at the minimum support price.
Similarly, under the scheme, in the year 2019, 743.40 metric tons of gram, 162.85 metric tons of lentils and 1455.75 metric tons of mustard were purchased at MSP. In the year 2018-19, 29598 MT of urad and 8368 MT of groundnut were procured at the minimum support price.
In the year 2018, 14367 MT gram, 13729 MT lentils and 1211 MT Rye and Mustard were purchased by PCF at MSP. In the year 2017-18, a total of 23000 MT of urd was purchased by PCF and NAFED at MSP.
