Rapid Rail travel in India just a matter of time

New Delhi: The country’s first rapid train has been handed over to the Government of India. Its running route has also been prepared. The National Capital Region Transport Corporation i.e. NCRTC has fixed its trial run in August. The entire corridor from Delhi to Meerut is likely to be built by 2025. This train is completely made in India. This train, running at a speed of 180 km/h, will be run from Sahibabad to Duhai depot in Phase-I in an area of ​​17 km. It will reach Meerut in just 62 minutes via Delhi to Ghaziabad. That is, overall we can consider it as a bullet train trailer.

Total budget of rapid train:

The first set of train was handed over to NCRTC on 7th May. On 8 March 2019, PM Modi laid the foundation stone of the project. The rapid train has been manufactured from Sanwali in Gujarat.

Alstom company has prepared train coaches in Gujarat. The total budget of this project is Rs 30,274 crore.

Rapid Rail has three times the speed of Metro

The engineer of Muradnagar depot said that the pillars of Rapid Rail have been built between Ghaziabad and Meerut. The work of laying rails on them is going on at a brisk pace. Rapid Rail is going to run at three times the speed (180 kmph max) than Metro Rail.

Features of Rapid Rail:

On board Wi-Fi facility is also available in Rapid train.
Entry in the train will be available only after scanning the QR code.
Infotainment display and laptop charging will be setup on each seat.
The train will run at a speed of 180 kmph.
One coach will be reserved for female passengers.
It will have sofas and coffee machines instead of business class experience seats.

Rapid train will be environmentally balanced:

The pressure of 1 lakh vehicles plying on the Delhi-Meerut route will be reduced.
– 2.50 lakh tonnes of carbon emissions will be reduced every year.
The train will reduce 60 thousand tonnes of PM 2.5 particles from the atmosphere every year.
