Real Madrid bags Copa Del Rey title after nine years

Madrid:  Rodrigo scored twice as Real Madrid beat Osasuna 2-1 in the final to win the Copa del Rey football tournament title after nine years.

Rodrigo gave Real Madrid the lead in just the second minute of the game when he headed in a cross from Brazilian teammate Vinicius Junior.

Osasuna’s Lucas Toro equalized in the 58th minute, but Rodrigo put Real Madrid ahead in the 70th minute. His goal proved decisive in the end.

Real Madrid had earlier won the Copa del Rey title in 2014. It will now host Manchester City in the semi-finals of the Champions League on Tuesday.
