Lucknow: Under the leadership and direction of the Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Keshav Prasad Maurya and on his initiative, pleasant, meaningful and positive results of the village chaupals being organized in the villages every Friday are coming to the fore.
Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said that chaupals were organized in Agra and Firozabad and last Friday in each Gram Panchayat of Rae Bareli and Barabanki, they understood people’s problems, solved them and understood the ground reality of development and construction works including beneficial schemes, while in different districts of the state.
Village Chaupals were organized in the presence of senior officers and block level officers/employees and village level employees. The village chaupals were inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on December 30 from three gram panchayats of Varanasi district.
According to the information received, village chaupals were organized in the gram panchayats of the state, in which 13384 block level officers and employees and 20 thousand village level employees participated in the village chaupals.
31,000 villagers participated in village chaupals and 24,517 references/complaints/cases came, out of which 18,000 references were disposed of on the spot. For the disposal of the remaining references, instructions were given for their speedy disposal while referring to the high level officers and employees. Before the village chaupals organized in the village panchayats, all concerned officers and employees inspected the ongoing projects in the village, in which 10,000 projects were inspected on the spot.
Feedback is also being taken by the Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya after his return from the village chaupals. In the reports being compiled from village chaupalo, the names, addresses and mobile numbers of at least two complainants are also being collected in the contexts which are being disposed of on the spot, so that the quality and satisfaction of complaint redressal can be checked by talking to them. About the ground, and the actual situation can be reviewed.
Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said that there is a lot of enthusiasm among the people for the work of Gram Panchayats and encouraging results are coming out. He said that in the same way every Friday Gram Chaupals will continue to be organized as per the fixed roster and Departmental officers will also participate in the village chaupals at the government level and public representatives have also been appealed to participate in the chaupals.
