Revamped road network in U.P. on the cards post Union Budget
Lucknow: In the Union budget, a provision of more than 4 lakh crores has been made in various heads to spend on basic facilities i.e. infrastructure. In this, overhead and underground bridges will be constructed to prevent road, highway as well as road accidents. UP is a fast emerging state in the field of development. Along with expressways, highways, people are being provided facilities of bridges on the basis of need. Union budget will open the way for work in these areas in UP. After the provision in the budget, the share of UP is expected to come up to Rs 100 crore.
According to a government official, the central government has made a provision of Rs 2.70 lakh crore in the budget for the construction of the highway. The state government is working to connect all the major roads of the state with the highway. Work is being done to convert two lane roads into four lanes. Union budget will clear the way for highway construction work in UP. Under the road safety campaign, under and over bridges for pedestrians are being constructed on congested roads.
Along with this, the central government made a provision of 238204 crores for rural development, 76432 crores for urban development, 600 crores for border area development program, 700 crores for completion of road protection work, 1255 crores for bridge construction and 107713 crores for road construction. Is. The Public Works Department and the Rural Development Department are getting the city and rural roads constructed under the central schemes.
