Revenue of Rs 12655.85 crore received in July of the financial year 2021-22: U.P Finance Minister

Lucknow: The Finance Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Suresh Kumar Khanna, while interacting with the press representatives in his office said that a total revenue of Rs 12655.85 crore was received in the month of July of the financial year 2021-22 in the heads of non-tax revenue items, whereas in the month of July of the year 2020-21, a revenue of Rs 10675.42 crore was received.

In this way, in the month of July, 2021, more revenue of Rs 1980.43 crore has been received as compared to the month of July, 2020 of the previous year. He said that a total revenue of Rs 4697.99 crore was received under GST in the month of July, 2021, whereas the receipt in the month of July, 2020 was Rs 4120.62 crore last year.

In the month of July, 2021, the revenue receipt under VAT was Rs.2328.34 crore, whereas in the month of July, 2020 last year, the receipt was Rs.1903.54 crore. The Finance Minister said that a total revenue of Rs 2795.49 crore was received in the month of July, 2021 under the head of excise, whereas in the month of July, 2020, the receipt was Rs 2632.58 crore last year.

Under Stamp and Registration, the revenue receipt for the month of July, 2021 is Rs 2089.29 crore, whereas the receipt in the month of July, 2020 last year was Rs 1365.55 crore. Under transport, the revenue receipt for the month of July, 2021 is Rs.612.07 crore, while the receipt in the month of July, 2020 last year was Rs.474.59 crore. Under the major items of non-tax revenue, the receipt in the month of July, 2021 is Rs 132.67 crores, whereas the receipt in the month of July, 2020 last year was Rs 178.54 crores.

Suresh Kumar Khanna informed that in the financial year 2021-22 till July 2021, against the target of Rs.62137.00 crore, Rs.42739.71 crore has been achieved under the main tax revenue, which is 68.80 percent of the target. In the financial year 2021-22 till July, 2021, against the target of Rs.8075.53 crore, the total non-tax revenue receipt has been Rs.2465.25 crore. Against the target of Rs.32207.12 crore, Rs.23583.09 crore has been received till July, 2021 under the item of tax revenue, GST and VAT. He said that against the target of Rs 8452.72 crore, Rs 7474.94 crore has been achieved under VAT, which is 88.40 percent.

The Finance Minister informed that in the month of July 2021-22, against the target of Rs 15893.00 crore in excise item, Rs 11164.13 crore has been achieved. Against the target of Rs.9043.00 crore, Rs.5758.93 crore has been received under the head of stamp and registration.

He informed that in the financial year 2021-22, against the target of Rs 3108.88 crore, Rs 2071.95 crore has been achieved in the financial year 2021-22. Khanna informed that the rate of VAT and Cess levied on petrol and diesel is lowest in Uttar Pradesh as compared to other states. The tax rate on petrol in Uttar Pradesh is Rs 20.14 per liter and that on diesel is Rs 13.07 per liter while in other states like Rajasthan state tax on petrol is Rs 29.90 and state tax on diesel is Rs 21.83 per liter, in Andhra Pradesh 28.36 on petrol and on diesel. State tax is Rs 21.65 per liter, in Orissa Rs 24.01 per liter on petrol and Rs 20.89 per liter on diesel and Rs 24.22 on petrol and Rs 17.78 per liter on diesel in Tamil Nadu.

He said that similarly state tax on petrol is Rs 29.54 and diesel Rs 20.81 per liter in Maharashtra, Rs 20.84 on petrol and Rs 19.74 per liter on diesel in Chhattisgarh, Rs 26.53 on petrol and Rs 20.30 on diesel in Telangana and Rs 20.30 per liter in Jharkhand. Rs 17.48 per liter is being charged as state tax on diesel in the state. He said that in West Bengal Rs 22.71 per liter on petrol and Rs 15.35 per liter on diesel, while in Punjab Rs 23.93 on petrol and Rs 14.91 per liter on diesel and Rs 23.52 on petrol and Rs 13.12 per liter on diesel in Delhi as state tax. being recovered.

The Finance Minister said that the consumer price of petrol in Uttar Pradesh is Rs 98.98 per liter and the price of diesel is Rs 90.32 per liter, while in other states like Rajasthan, the price of petrol is Rs 108.78 per liter and diesel Rs 99.08 per liter, petrol in Andhra Pradesh 107.39. Rs per liter and diesel Rs 98.97 per liter and in Orissa the price of petrol is Rs 102.72 and diesel is Rs 98.01 per liter. In Tamil Nadu, where petrol costs Rs 102.55 and diesel Rs 94.44 per liter, in Maharashtra the price of petrol is Rs 107.89 per liter and diesel is Rs 97.51 per liter. Similarly, the price of petrol in Telangana is Rs 105.58 and diesel Rs 98.01 per liter and in Chhattisgarh the price of petrol is Rs 99.86 and diesel is Rs 97.23 per liter, in Jharkhand the price of diesel is Rs 94.90 per liter. He said that in West Bengal the price of petrol is Rs 102.14 per liter and diesel is Rs 93.08 per liter and in Delhi the price of petrol is Rs 101.90 per liter and in Punjab the price of petrol is Rs 102.90 and diesel is Rs 91.95 per liter.
