Revolutionizing the toy industry the Toy Park way
Noida: UP is making its mark as a leading state in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Self-reliant India and Make in India mission. Reportedly many projects are being conducted in the state under the guidance of CM Yogi. The Toy Park cluster under construction in Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is also proving to be an important link in this.
Foundation stone laying and inauguration programs of industrial units are being organized continuously in this toy park being established in Sector 33. There is a possibility that the industrial units set up here will also start their production in the next one year. This means that soon with the help of this Toy Park, India’s toy market will move forward in the direction of surpassing China and establishing its dominance on the world stage.
It is noteworthy that toys made in India are exported to about 50 countries of the world. After the construction of this toy park, along with more production, more exports will also be ensured.
142 plots were allotted
Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) Chairman Anil Kumar Sagar on Saturday laid the foundation stone for the construction work of industrial units being set up in the Toy Park in Sector 33. A toy park is being constructed by the authority on an area of 100 acres in Sector 33. The authority has allotted 142 plots of different categories, out of which check list has been issued to 91 units and the lease deed process has been completed by 39 units. Today the foundation stone of factory construction works was laid in this industrial toy park cluster.
According to Ajay Aggarwal, President of The Toy Association of India, construction work of many factories will be completed and production will start in the next one year. He said that in the last few years, the import of toys has decreased, while the export has increased. This export is close to 60 percent.
This is completely realizing the Prime Minister’s Make in India mission. He has also appealed to the entrepreneurs that everyone should manufacture best quality toys in this Toy Park. Today, there is a lot of scope in the toy industry in the country, which everyone should take advantage of.
Soft toys, electronic toys, wooden toys, ride on toys, slides, board games, plastic toys, playground equipment toys etc. will be manufactured in this cluster. Major companies of the toy industry will set up units like soft toy manufacturing units, ride off toy units, electronic toy manufacturing units, mechanical toys besides electronic transformers for toys and electrical toys on the plots allotted here.
These include Fun Zoo Toys India, Fun Ride Toys LLP and many other companies.
Common facility center being built in 5 acres
A common facilities center is also being constructed by the authority in an area of five acres in the Toy Park cluster. The toy cluster of Yamuna Authority is the largest toy cluster in the country. There is also a lot of employment potential in the toy cluster. According to information, an investment of about Rs 1,100 crore is likely to be made on the construction of this toy park cluster and direct and indirect employment for 6,000 people is also likely to be generated.
Infrastructure being prepared keeping in mind the convenience and security
Whatever facilities are necessary under the PLI scheme of the Government of India are also being provided by the authority. Based on the demand of Toy Association, planning was done in this toy park, which is getting concrete form. Development works in this sector mainly including road, sewerage, electrical lines, water system etc. have been done by the Authority. Better facilities for security and transport will be provided to the entrepreneurs. Electricity water road connectivity will be available to this cluster. A flatted factory will also be constructed in the Toy Park cluster so that space can be made available to the support industry of the toy industry.
