RJ Prateek shows a different side at Uttarakhand Mahotsav

Lucknow: At the ongoing Uttarakhand Mahotsav at Pt. Govind Ballabh Pant Hill Cultural Park (Birbal Sahni Marg), Gomti Riverside, groups of artists and local artists from different places created a stir with various singing performances, it seemed that a confluence of many cultures is taking place on the banks of Gomti.

It is a festival of rich culture, heritage and soul, one of the most anticipated cultural festivals in Lucknow. The festival is organized every year for 10 days to showcase the rich cultural heritage. The event also aims to promote the unique identity of traditional values, art, music, and cuisine.

The main sponsor of the Mahotsav, Mr. Arun Sahu – General Manager of State Bank of India,  R. Natarajan – Deputy General Manager, other officers and  Gopal Singh Bhandari (Retired State Bank of India) Advisor, Uttarakhand General Council and officials of the General Council jointly lit the lamp. Officials of Uttarakhand General Council welcomed the guests by presenting them with bouquets, garments and insignia.

In the Uttarakhand Mahotsav, people from different communities are being honored with Diamond Jubilee Awards,  Chief Trustee of Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Parivar, Lucknow, Major Vijay Kumar Khare and Dr. A.P. Shukla etc. were honored – General Council respects all religions and cultures. Guest Honorable Dharampal Singh , State General Secretary Organization BJP, congratulated the officials and artists of Uttarakhand Mahotsav and gave blessings.

Media in-charge Rajendra Singh Kanwal said that the team of Uttarakhand General Council mainly includes  Diwan Singh Adhikari, Govind Ballabh Phulara, Awadhesh Kothari, Rajesh Bisht, Pradeep Chand, Suresh Pandey, Bhuvan Patwal, Puran Chandra Bhadaula, Vikas Chandra Bauthiyal, Jagdish Singh, Bhuvan Pathak, Sunder Singh Bisht, Jagat Singh Rana, Laxman Singh Martolia, Surendra Rajeshwari, Mangal Singh Rawat etc. are working diligently to make the festival a success, so that the audience, guest artists and stall shopkeepers etc. do not face any kind of problem.

10 contestants participated in painting, in which Diya Patwal stood first, Ojasvi stood second and Manasvi Singh stood third. Mohd. Naseem Khan was the participant in the essay. 12 participants took part in the solo dance, in which the first ones were Shri Verma, Hargun Chopra, Kanishka Singh. 14 contestants participated in the group dance, first in the group dance – Heart and Cultural Group under the leadership of Gauri Dwivedi, Samriddhi Dhaudiyal of Vikas Nagar, second – Draupadi Chir Haran Group – Awadh Dance Academy – under the leadership of Hema Mishra and third – Uttarakhandi Dance, Awadh.

The Dance Academy team was the winner. Jagat Singh Rana and Urvashi Joshi acted as judges in these competitions. These competitions were conducted under the supervision of women’s wing president Pushpa Vaishnav, Rajeshwari Rawat, Kamala Chufal, Sunita Kanwal, Renu Adhikari, Lakshmi Joshi, Deveshwari Pawar.
Chholiya Dance – Udhanchal Kala Kendra, Almora enthralled the crowd with various acrobatics. Classical Dance-e Giri Nandani by Anya Madar, Solo dance by Vagisha Pant, Kumaoni Dance by Prerna Negi, Dance by Himani Verma, Dance performances by Tanisha Galakoti enthralled the audience.

Special presentation of Shreya Chitranshi and Shiksha Agarwal-Nari Bhakti=Guru Shisya Ek Anokha Sangam and Uttarakhandi folk dance by Folk Culture and Social Welfare Committee under the leadership of Mandakini Bahuguna, Haritima Pant, entertained the audience thoroughly.

Devotional presentation of Ganesh Vandana was given by Nritya Folik Dance Academy under the leadership of Pallavi Prajapati. Dance Uttarakhand Dance Cultural Secretary Mahendra Galakoti said that on the completion of 75 years of the establishment of Uttarakhand General Council, more than 150 artists from 12 groups are participating in the Dance Uttarakhand Dance Competition, which includes more than 150 artists from Garhwal, Kumaon and Jaunsar of Uttarakhand.

Dance of the Mahotsav – YouTube channel for Uttarakhand dance – Videos of that day are uploaded every day by 10 pm and voting is counted till 4 pm the next day. One team which has been eliminated will also reach and the one which has the most likes in each round on YouTube will also reach the fourth round. In this way, 5 teams will reach the final fifth round and the first team will get 51 thousand, the second team will get 41 thousand, the third team will get 31 thousand, the fourth team will get 21 thousand and the fifth team will get 11 thousand. Honor money is being provided to each team in every round.

Four participants of the second round of Voice of Uttarakhand – Govind Bora, Manju Pandey, Deepak Singh Parwal and Ms. Prachi Singh Rawat enthralled the audience with their folk singing and gathered applause.
Presentation of four dance groups of Uttarakhand 1.) Kutumb Group Mayapuri under the leadership of Prachi Rawat, 2.) Dance Group Lucknow under the leadership of Shri Chandra Bhushan Aggarwal 3.) Uttarakhand Maha Parishad Theater under the leadership of Mahendra Singh Galakoti 4.) Manju Pandey Sankalp Group Alok Nagar under the leadership of – – All four teams paintedGave a lot of applause by giving colorful presentations and tried hard to make it to the next round.

RJ Prateek Group-Rameshtha Band’s presentation – made the atmosphere devotional by giving devotional presentations on Sanskrit shlokas, Anumana Chalisa etc.

The group led by Ramesh Pal, with the help of Culture Department, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, presented the Bundelkhandi Diwari folk dance beautifully and introduced them to their culture.

This dance originated during the childhood of Lord Krishna in the Dwapar era. In this dance, Pai Dand is used while wearing colorful clothes. In the festivals from Bhadau to Diwali, Diwali is presented by singing special style songs.

Artists from Faizabad, who came with the help of North Central Cultural Centre, Prayagraj, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, gave a beautiful presentation of Farwahi folk dance, which was highly appreciated by the audience.
