Sage community in Kashi plays Holi smeared in ash

Lucknow: The residents of Kashi thronged the cremation ground at Manikarnika Ghat to fulfill the three hundred years old tradition of Holi of pyre ashes. Holi of pyre ashes was played in the midst of blazing pyres. On this occasion, strict security arrangements were made by the Yogi government.

Amidst the sound of drums and drums, thousands of Shiva devotees marched towards the crematorium from 11 a.m. Kashi residents followed a three hundred year old tradition. The song kept echoing ‘Holi Digambar in Khele Masane.’

On the other hand, people of Kashi dance to the tunes of drums, beats of drums.  Yakshas, Gandharvas, Kinnars and Aughads, all of Shiva’s consorts, reached the cremation ground to play Holi with the ashes of the pyres.

At this great crematorium located near Srikashi Vishwanath Dham, there was a competition to capture the world’s unique Holi with historical and mythological beliefs. The devotees of Bholenath, who arrived with the form of Shiva-Parvati, started playing Holi with the ashes of pyres.

The people of Kashi of Adbhangi were being wrapped on the bodies of Chita Bhasma while dancing to the tunes of the music. Knowing that tomorrow his body will also turn into this ashes. Wonderful and supernatural Holi was witnessed.

This Holi, which gives a feel of the depths of spirituality, seemed strange to the people who had come in the funeral procession from far away places. It was surprising that where there are piles of dead bodies, the family members who are immersed in the grief of losing their loved ones are performing their last rites. It is so difficult to laugh and dance in such a situation and here people are celebrating Holi by wrapping the ashes of those pyres.

This is possible only in Kashi, the city of salvation. Such a sight is rarely seen anywhere. On one side the mourning of death and on the other side the fun of Holi.

Kinnar Samaj was also engrossed in dance. Saints and sages of Kashi also participated in this divine Holi. People of Kashi were dancing to the tunes of the music, the noises of Damruon were resounding, and on the spiritual Holi of Kashipuradhipati, Mahadani Bholenath, the song ‘Khele Masane Mein Holi Digambar, Bhoot Pishaach Batori’ sung by Padmavibhushan Pandit Chhannulal Mishra had fun. were diving in the ocean.

The organizers of this Holi of Chita Bhasma, the president of Mahashamshan Nath Temple, Chanu Prasad Gupta, Mahamandaleshwar Santosh Das of Satua Baba Ashram, administrator Gulshan Kapoor etc. were in charge of the arrangements.
