Samadhan Week will be organized from 12 to 19 September 2022 at all the sub-centres

Lucknow: State’s Urban Development and Energy Minister  AK Sharma has organized ‘Samadhan Week’ from September 12 to 19, 2022 at all 33/11 KV sub-centres or nearest billing center at the state level to provide convenience to the consumers and to solve their problems at the local level. He directed to organize Samadhan Saptah every day from 08:00 am to 08:00 pm and solve the problems of the consumers of all the villages/clusters under the sub-centre.

Energy Minister  AK Sharma was reviewing the works of Power Department at Shakti Bhavan. During this, he said that the complaints of the consumers have to be resolved on the spot at all the sub-centres of the state. In this, problems like billing of consumers, increasing the load, connection, metering, transformer damage, shabby pole and line, increasing the load of transformer feeder and low-voltage should be solved.

He directed all the officers of the Headquarters, all the officers of the Discom level, all the officers of the District and Circle level to visit the field and inspect the camp during the Samadhan Week.

The Energy Minister said that to avoid damage to the crops of farmers due to lack of monsoon, their private tube wells should not be disconnected and they should not be disturbed for collection of bills. Said that private tube well connections of farmers should be further accelerated at all discom levels. He directed to conduct random checking and check big thefts in areas where the line loss is more than 20 percent. He said that the areas where the load is high and consumption is increasing. Monitoring of such areas should be done daily. Especially such places where there are more complaints of transformer burning, there should be inspection on the possibility of theft of electricity.

AK Sharma also directed to operate mobile units in all discoms like Noida and Meerut. So that it can be resolved immediately in restoring power supply during tripping. Also preventive maintenance can also be done in time. He said that the mobile numbers of all the consumers should also be obtained so that the electricity system could be monitored properly. He asked the consumers to pay the bill only on the correct reading and on the basis of that the bill should be collected.

The Energy Minister said that to save the transformer from burning, its maintenance should be done in time and transformers should be installed according to the sanson load. Also, attention should be paid to the input output gap. He instructed to pay special attention to revenue collection and not to delay it at any level. He told all the officers that the electricity department would have to make a smooth system to gain full trust of the public.

In the meeting, Chief Secretary Energy  Mahesh Kumar Gupta has instructed that problem solving week will be celebrated from next Monday. During this, all the high officials will inspect the sub-centres. At the same time, all the officers from lower to higher level should bring changes in their work culture and work in the public interest as per the intention of the State Government. Send messages regarding the supply of electricity to the mobile numbers of the consumers and also try to get bills from all the consumers on time. Chairman Power Corporation  M Devraj, Managing Directors of all Discoms were present in the meeting.
