School Health Program to ensure fitter students in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: In accordance with the intention of CM Yogi Adityanath, committed to provide quality education to every student of Uttar Pradesh, a unique initiative has been taken in the form of ‘School Health Program’ under the Urban Development Department and Lucknow Smart City. Under the pilot project, School Health Program has been started by Lucknow Smart City in three schools of Lucknow.

In this, a digital health report card is being prepared for the physical and mental health of 1765 students studying in municipal schools. Along with this, the benefit of health insurance of Rs 25,000 is also being given to these children. After the completion of the pilot project, there is a possibility of approaching this program in other 9 smart cities of the state.

Funding being done under smart city

This innovative effort has been started by Lucknow Divisional Commissioner and Lucknow Smart City Chairperson Dr. Roshan Jacob. Municipal Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer of Lucknow Smart City Indrajit Singh has executed this work to registered health tech startup Stoofit under Uttar Pradesh Startup Policy. Dr. Roshan Jacob said that this startup had done a lot of work in Lucknow during Kovid. In Smart City, we have made a provision that whatever good programs we bring for the public, including health, education or technology, we fund those startups. Under this, they have been given this responsibility. If these startups are successful here, they can take forward such programs in other cities as well. This program is very beneficial for the health of children. In this, school mapping of children is done, like the team of health department visits schools under National Child Health and check-up of children, this program is a slightly better version of the same so that children can really get benefited from it.

UP first state to make digital health report card

Stufit’s director Dr. S. Haider told that he has a 30 to 35-member mobile health team of doctors and paramedics, in which there are health volunteers as well as team coordinators, who respectively check each child according to their expertise and make a digital health report card of the children. Are. There is neither any digital health report card facility nor health insurance cover in any school in India. Under this Payal project, the responsibility of health checkup of 1765 children of 3 municipal schools has been given. These include Aminabad Inter College, Kashmiri Mohalla Girls Inter College and Kashmiri Mohalla Montessori School. Our team is making digital health card by doing desk to desk examination of the child. A unique ID card will be made for each child, through which the child’s parents, school and administrative officials can download this health card. Follow-up of the Digital Health Report is also done every six months. Along with this, health cover cashless card of 25 thousand rupees is also provided. If a child is admitted to the hospital due to illness, then he can be treated through this card.

Children’s physical and mental health will be better

This unique initiative of Lucknow Smart City Limited will not only detect diseases occurring in children in time, but due to better quality of physical and mental health, the academic level of these children will also increase and their future will also be bright. The digital health report card being prepared is based on 130 parameters. In this, all the parameters related to physiotherapy of children are checked, which includes endurance, stamina, posture and others. Apart from this, eye test of children is done. If the vision is weak then on the spot number of spectacles is given. Their color blindness is checked, children have a complete test for eye disease. After this the child has a dental and oral test. Apart from this, the child’s ability to listen and speak is also tested, which does not happen in any health camp. Apart from this, workshops are also conducted on topics like child psychology, first aid, health and hygiene.
