Schools cannot force students to buy books from a particular book shop orders DIOS

Lucknow: Books, stationery and uniforms are being purchased in schools since the beginning of the new session. A large number of parents allege that the school management forces them to buy books, dresses and stationery from selected stationery shops. Because of which parents are forced to buy books at double the price.

District School Inspector Dr. Amarkant Singh has issued instructions to the principals-managers of all the schools run by the UP Board, CBSE Board and CISCE Board.

In which it has been said that no student shall be compelled to buy books, uniform, stationery, shoes, socks from any particular shop.

The name of any shop should not appear in the list issued by the school. If these rules will be violated or complaint will be received then legal action will be taken against the school manager-principal.
